Saturday

I woke up Saturday determined to figure out how to fund the project. On the 17th call, I connected with Travis, a cultural strategist at Lovable, who was interested. We met, talked, and I demoed both the hardware and software in person at the mansion. We agreed in principle on a $10,000 sponsorship for the show, pending a software demo.

The problem: while the ranking system that filters video worked fine for tracking bonobos in Congo, livestreaming a house full of overcaffeinated founders was a completely different challenge. I spent the entire day rebuilding the pipeline realizing it was easier to build a web platform with LiveKit handling low-latency video transmission instead of layering on top of OBS. By evening, I had an MVP based on LiveKit’s open source Meet that could show live recording of every camera and ranking, though in practice limited by the free plan’s cap of only two simultaneous recordings for the egress to aws.
